Summary: The Cell & Systems Biology Staff Scientist focuses on understanding cellular mechanisms in host-pathogen interactions and supports multiomics research in high-containment environments. The role involves laboratory research in cell and systems biology to study disease mechanisms and host responses.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to characterize cellular responses.
- Collaborate closely with proteomics and transcriptomics teams.
- Support data integration for systems biology models.
- Prepare SOPs and regulatory reports.
- Train junior personnel in laboratory methods.
- Share findings with the project team and communicate effectively through reports and presentations.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of immunological signaling pathways.
- Familiarity with tissue sample processing.
- Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
- Relevant field expertise with a history of independent research demonstrated through publications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
- At least 4 years in biomedical, cellular, or systems biology research.
- Experience with cell culture and imaging techniques.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACTIVE SECRET clearance is preferred.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
Pay and Benefits: The salary range is $95,000 to $113,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
