We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to help support our catering team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about creating high-quality, delicious dishes, and have a strong understanding of food safety and preparation. This position requires flexibility and a commitment to excellence, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items for catered events, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to Ceresville Mansion’s recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen and catering equipment before and after events.
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food items.
- Monitor food inventory and communicate with the kitchen manager to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Ensure proper storage of all food items and kitchen supplies.
- Adapt to changing needs and priorities, including special dietary requests and last-minute changes to event details.
- Support the team with additional tasks as needed to ensure the success of each event.
- Proven experience as a cook or similar role in a catering or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
- Experience in catering or event-based cooking.
- Knowledge of various dietary restrictions and food allergies.
