Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$15.50 to $18.50 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.61 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associate will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The position offers an hourly wage, plus commission based on productivity. Pay will depend on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulations.
• Handles cash and negotiable items following policies and regulations.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties that require standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
