Cashier​/Sales Associate - Overnights

Overview

Are you a night owl who works best independently? Our third‑shift sales associates (typically between 10 PM and 6 AM) keep the store running smoothly overnight, often as the only employee on site. You’ll be responsible for deep cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, stocking shelves, maintaining the fuel area, assisting late‑night customers, and ensuring the store stays secure, clean, and ready for the next day.

Ideal candidates are confident, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to stay alert and make sound decisions without direct supervision.

• Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales—ensuring compliance with all age verification and legal requirements.
• Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales.
• Keep the inside and outside of the store clean and safe, including:
  • Deep cleaning high‑use restrooms.
  • Wiping down and sanitizing gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets).
  • Picking up litter and trash from the floor and lot area.
  • Taking out the trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh and full.
• Maintain a clean and organized store—sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways.
• Willingly cross‑train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed.

• Schedule:
  
  10 PM–6 AM or 11 PM–7 AM (overnights).
• Age requirement: 18 (or 21 for certain states).

• Age requirement 18 (or 21 for CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, CO).
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, including overnight shifts.
• Prepared to work hard, stay on your feet, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills—reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Physical ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
• Personable and positive demeanor.
• Detail‑oriented.
• Reliable and responsible.
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous retail or customer‑service experience is a plus but not required.
