Retail Service Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $22.00

Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

• Support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations.
• Assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Store Manager.
• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution of customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
• Answer telephone calls in accordance with company policy.
• Process buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub‑to‑store, and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders; notify customers when shipments arrive.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges accurately; issue refunds using correct payment methods; stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages, Image Maker tasks, and merchandising activities; delegate and ensure completion as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules, approve changes/deviations through management, and clock in/out per company policy.
• Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing deposits, preparing bank deposits, activating security lights, locking doors and building, arming/disarming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

• Strong communication skills.
• RSS Certification (required).
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair.
• ASE Certification (desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages;
  Spanish highly desired.
