Responsible for processing of trash and recycling according to local standards and covering intermittent duties in support of Operations throughout the day. Perform other duties as assigned.

Full‑time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part‑time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability.

• Inspect, sort and bale all waste cardboard and plastic
• Maintain balers and compactor clear of trash that can build up and create a malfunction
• Maintain the dock area (area surrounding baler)
• Basic maintenance and changing of the MHE Batteries
• Daily operation and general maintenance/cleaning of the Sweeper

• Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply
• Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with colleagues
• Must be able to:
  • Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors
  • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Sense of urgency and the ability to work independently
• Attention to detail and effective organization skills
• Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs

• Regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi‑monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances.

In all circumstances, testing must be completed within 24 hours of notification.
