Job OverviewAs an At Your Service Center Colleague, you deliver a seamless and personalized shopping experience. You’ll support all At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks while upholding Macy’s service standards. Strong multitasking abilities, problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer‑first mindset are essential. The role thrives in a fast‑paced environment with flexible shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
HowOur At Your Service Colleagues Spend Their Day
- Start each day energized with a positive example—pacing the team, greeting teammates, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Engage customers with genuine hospitality, build lasting relationships through personal conversation, and support total store fulfillment, including BOPS.
- Recover merchandise, keep pickup and return areas tidy, and ensure timely completion and curbside delivery of BOPS orders.
- Finish strong by sharing the Loyalty program benefits, ensuring customers have what they need, and ending with a sincere thank‑you while using the customer’s name.
- Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
- Strive for continuous improvement, celebrate sales goals, and learn from each other to deliver results.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to:
- Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
- Make prompt, sound decisions in real time to address customer needs and resolve issues.
- Communicate and collaborate comfortably with customers and colleagues.
- Meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Be resourceful and eager to adapt to changing priorities; able to work independently and excel in team dynamics.
- Handle electronic devices without issue.
Physical Requirements You Will Perform
- Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level.
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash register, and processing register transactions.
