Floral Designer & Boutique Care Specialist

Frederick Floral Bar is seeking a skilled, dependable team member to help care for our boutique, create elevated retail floral designs, and maintain the warm, art-driven atmosphere our customers love. This role blends hands-on floral artistry with boutique hospitality, merchandising, and customer connection.

Responsibilities:

• Retail Floral Design — Create grab‑and‑go bouquets and retail arrangements in our signature style
• Flower Processing — Prep, hydrate, and rotate product; maintain cooler organization and quality
• Boutique Care — Keep the shop clean, styled, stocked, and visually inviting
• Writing orders and taking inventory
• Ability to create on the spot arrangements
• Customer Experience — Assist guests with florals, gifts, and checkout with a warm, polished presence
• Merchandising — Refresh displays, restock shelves, and support the boutique’s visual storytelling
• Operations — Manage POS transactions and handle opening/closing duties
• Hosting reservations with our Build your own bouquet bar and assisting with Workshops and special events.
• Setting up for weddings and special events
• Light deliveries
• Weekend Support — Assist with workshops, events, and high‑traffic hours

Requirements

• 2+ Years Professional Floral Experience — Required; must be confident designing independently
• Strong understanding of color, composition, and retail‑ready design
• Knowledge of floral mechanics
• Reliable transportation
• Friendly, polished customer service style
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently

Schedule

• Part time (60-80 hours a month sometimes a bit more depending on work load)
• Thursday through Sunday (Wednesdays during events)
