As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business development, expanding strategic partnerships, and increasing market penetration throughout Maryland.
This role requires strong relationship management skills, technical sales capability, and the ability to engage with contractors, engineers, owners, project managers, utility partners, and end users within commercial, industrial, and infrastructure environments.
The ideal candidate understands how to develop long‑term partnerships, manage complex projects, and support customers throughout the sales lifecycle — from prospecting and proposal development through project execution and post‑sale support.
What You’ll Do- Develop and execute strategic territory growth plans to increase revenue and market share
- Build and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, general contractors, engineers, owners, architects, utilities, and infrastructure partners
- Drive business development efforts through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement
- Expand market presence within commercial, industrial, utility, and mission‑critical infrastructure sectors
- Conduct in‑person client meetings, jobsite visits, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Identify and develop opportunities related to electrical power distribution, underground infrastructure, switch gear, backup power, and related electrical systems
- Coordinate with internal teams, manufacturers, and project stakeholders to support successful project execution
- Assist with project tracking, proposal review, quotations, product selection, and customer support throughout project life cycles
- Manage sales pipeline, forecasts, opportunities, and customer activity within CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Represent Davis Infrastructure at trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and networking functions
- Travel throughout Maryland to support customer relationships and project development (50%+ travel, approximately 10% overnight)
Required Qualifications
- Proven success in outside sales, territory management, or business development roles
- Strong experience developing customer relationships and growing strategic accounts
- Ability to prospect, negotiate, and close opportunities in a competitive market
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience coordinating with contractors, project managers, engineers, or operations teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
