About the Opportunity
We’re a growing, well-capitalized communications technology company serving federal, defense, and commercial customers. We’re scaling fast — and we’re building our business development engine from the ground up.
This is a rare chance to get in early, learn directly from experienced sales leadership, and build a real career in B2B sales with a clear path to Account Executive. If you’re hungry, coachable, and motivated by results, we want to talk to you.
The RoleAs a Business Development Representative, you’ll be the tip of the spear for new business. You’ll research target accounts, open doors with prospective customers, and create a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities for our sales team.
You won’t be closing deals, managing accounts, or building pricing — your mission is to find and create opportunities, then route them to the right rep for pursuit. Do that well, and you’ll become the most valuable person in the building.
What You’ll Do- Prospect into target accounts through phone, email, Linked In, events, and referrals
- Research organizations, projects, and funding initiatives to uncover new opportunities
- Identify decision-makers and start real conversations about their needs
- Qualify opportunities and document insights and next steps in CRM
- Support outbound campaigns, event follow-up, and account-based outreach
- Build target account lists and run your territory like it’s your own business
- 1–3 years in business development, sales/lead development, inside sales, or another customer-facing role
- A self-starter mindset — competitive, coachable, and energized by the chase
- Strong communication skills and comfort engaging executives by phone, email, and Linked In
- Organization and discipline with follow-up and CRM hygiene
- Resilience — you can hear “no” and keep moving
Industry experience helps but isn’t required. We can teach products, markets, and process. We can’t teach drive, curiosity, and the will to win. Transitioning military veterans with a customer-facing background are strongly encouraged to apply.
Nice to Have- Exposure to technology, critical communications, public safety, infrastructure, government, transportation, utilities, engineering, or related industries
- Familiarity with account-based outreach and modern CRM / sales engagement tools
- Base: $55,000–$80,000, depending on experience
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $70,000–$105,000 (base + variable)
- Clear, performance-based path to Account Executive
We’re an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
