Senior Specialty Representative

The Senior Specialty Representative acts as the primary customer contact and is responsible for implementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals, driving appropriate utilization of the products.
  • Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following‑up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in‑person and virtual engagement.
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customizing discussions and interactions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and learn as a Senior Specialty Representative.
  • Demonstrate passion for our products throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients.

What we expect of you

We seek a motivated individual with the following qualifications.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field.
  • OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience.
  • OR High school diploma/ GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • More than 3 years of sales, marketing, and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, or medical device or supply industries.
  • Product or hospital sales experience in specialties such as oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases – and knowledge of related diseases and treatments.
  • Advanced influencing and relationship‑building skills focused on sales outcomes.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
  • Adaptability with core competencies: sales planning and organizing; leveraging business, industry, and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal and external relationships.

Salary Range

USD 122,219 to 150,837 (U.S. excluding Puerto Rico). Salary varies based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
