A rapidly growing genomics services organization is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales Manager to drive the growth of its
Single Cell service portfolio
. This is a high-impact, client-facing role that blends scientific expertise with strategic business development.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding market presence by identifying new opportunities, delivering technical consultation, and closing complex, consultative sales within academia, biopharma, and clinical research sectors.
Key Responsibilities Business Development- Identify, prospect, and engage new clients across academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and clinical research organizations
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand adoption of single cell sequencing services
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to support ongoing revenue growth
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for
single cell platforms - Provide guidance on experimental design, workflow optimization, and sample preparation
- Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, value-driven solutions for clients
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, qualification, technical presentations, proposal development, and contract negotiation
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets and key performance metrics
- Deliver tailored proposals aligned with client research objectives
- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the customer journey
- Ensure alignment between client expectations and project execution
- Foster long‑term relationships to enable repeat business and account growth
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in single cell genomics
- Provide insights to internal stakeholders to support product and service innovation
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences discipline
- 3+ years of experience in NGS-related technical sales, business development, or field applications
- Strong knowledge of single cell sequencing workflows
, including scRNA‑seq, ATAC‑seq, and Multiome - Demonstrated success managing a sales pipeline and achieving or exceeding revenue targets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information in a commercially meaningful way
