Application Engineer – senior experience and leadership for the TTO.

• Develop detailed guidance for cloud workloads ensuring compliance with Government security and regulatory requirements such as NIST SP 800-53 security controls
• Collaborate with cloud‑focused teams across various organizations to design, test, and implement cloud workload security configurations and solutions
• Facilitate the creation of procedures and cybersecurity guidance for migrations from legacy cloud environments or hardware environments into AWS
• Evaluate and research cloud services and recommend security configurations to protect data appropriately
• Evaluate and research cloud security technologies and recommend their use

A current Top‑Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Twelve (12) years minimum with a High School Diploma/GED, Ten (10) years minimum with an Associate's Degree, Eight (8) years minimum with a Bachelor's Degree, Six (6) years minimum with a Master's Degree, or Four (4) years minimum with a Doctorate’s Degree.

• Customer‑facing skills to discuss trade‑offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation with senior personnel
• Experience with cloud computing and virtualization platforms
• Ability to quickly learn and keep pace with the latest cloud‑computing, networking, and infrastructure management technologies
• Excellent communication, writing, problem‑solving, and architectural white‑boarding skills
• Strong knowledge of application system and network architectures and associated security principles, including protection of data at rest, in transit, and in process
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud‑based solutions

• Commercial Cloud Certification at the Associate level or higher; AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred
• Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework / Zero‑Trust implementation
• Experience with security‑focused AWS concepts and services including IAM, SCPs, KMS, Config, Security Hub, Guard Duty, and Inspector

Salary range: $237,000 – $262,000 depending on education and experience.
