Position: Security Analyst IV with Security Clearance

Overview

Bryce Tech is seeking a Security Analyst IV to support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological Radiological Nuclear Defense – Medical. The role provides security analysis support to Government project leads, with travel as needed. This position requires Secret (S) access to perform Access Control tasks and to monitor the Defense Information System for Security (DISS); access is required to support multiple Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an Access Control program for CBRN Medical at two locations (on base and satellite location or Standalone Facility). Process visitors and conduct 100% s to ensure only authorized persons enter with valid identification.
  • Support foreign visitor procedures for CBRN Medical and ensure all required documentation is obtained prior to visits from any Foreign Nationals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the CBRN Medical Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) covering events such as fire, bomb, intruder, etc.
  • Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for site safety and the protection of personnel, equipment, and sensitive information.
  • Conduct building sweeps in restricted and non-restricted areas; complete Fort Detrick RAMs on a required cadence and identify potentially prohibited items.
  • Manage secure locations (e.g., SIPRNET rooms) and maintain an access roster; assist employees with SIPRNET access and maintain DA Form 1999 “Restricted Area Visitor Register.”
  • Organize secure safes within CBRN Medical Buildings; periodically change combinations as required.
  • Collaborate with CBRN Medical Leadership to improve security operations and provide brief summaries of events impacting daily operations.
  • Perform Personnel Security (PERSEC) tasks within DISS.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during emergency operations, including crisis response and training activities.
  • Complete Start/End of Day procedures and report findings to the CBRN Medical Operations Director.
  • Prepare and maintain Standard Form 701 “Activity Security Checklist” and DA Form 1594 “Daily Staff Journal”; maintain accountability logs for visiting personnel.
  • Create APACS accounts and process travel requests for CBRN Medical personnel; review theater and country information in the DoD Electronic Foreign Clearance Guide.
  • Support classified meetings by setting up/taking down rooms per security protocols and ensuring devices are collected outside the room.
  • Support emergency response programs for CBRN Medical and serve as an SME on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear operations and emergency management.
  • Assist with planning, organization, and management of emergency response programs with Federal, state, and local entities; develop necessary training for CBRN Medical personnel.
  • Support the Combating Terrorism program and installation operational security.
  • Maintain CBRN Medical CCTV systems and manage keys for facilities.
  • Attend Fort Detrick security-related meetings and operate within CBRN Medical core hours.
  • Assist in creating/enforcing Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security roles, violations, and destruction procedures.
  • Oversee clearance upgrades for personnel requiring access to sensitive information; participate in initial inspections for Controlled Access Areas (CAA) to meet Army NETCOM requirements.
  • Administer SIPRNET in-processing briefings covering security responsibilities and DoD policies; support SIPRNET readiness and related areas.
  • Serve as anti-terrorism officer for CBRN Medical and be a point of contact for all security-related topics or incidents; participate in inspections of CCRI or SIPRNET areas.
  • Review/approve security aspects of DD2875 System Authorization Access Requests for CBRN Medical personnel; assist with in- and out-processing of civilian, military, and contractor personnel; conduct SIPRNET walkthroughs and remedial training.
  • Receive biannual threat briefings and contribute to course-of-action development; maintain the COOP program to ensure mission-critical operations during disruptions.
