• Location: Multiple positions located at or near our Mid Atlantic US Customer Center Locations - Allentown, PA;
  Shrewsbury, PA;
  Richmond, VA;
  Greensboro, NC;
  Charlotte, NC. This role is typically not eligible for relocation.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Full-time, hourly position. $3,000 Sign On Bonus!

The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. The role requires precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting and a thorough knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment.
• Interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies for installations and repairs.
• Assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers.
• Provide technical assistance on equipment pre‑commissioning and start‑ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems with limited guidance from the Master Technician.
• Increase customer awareness of how Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions such as Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits, and Leak Detection can benefit their operations.

• 2+ years experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Will be on‑call after the first 90 days; shared on‑call weeks as determined by the hiring manager.
• Highly physical job requiring regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and lifting/moving weight limits.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Read wiring schematics and diagram for all equipment.
• Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
• Basic vibration troubleshooting.
• Basic Air Quality troubleshooting (compressor/dryer – air treatment).
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and other basic computer usage; working proficiency with handheld computer (Smartphone, iPad) and network bases.
• Maintain proper business travel practices in a cost‑efficient manner.

• Industrial air compressor maintenance & knowledge.
• EPA Certification.
• Veterans/Active‑Duty Military encouraged to apply.

• Service Technicians will travel daily within a 3‑hour radius within the service area.
• A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.
