Waste Water Operator II

Valiant is looking for a Waste Water Operator II to join our team! The Waster Water Operator II o versees maintenance and repair of acid waste water/pH neutralization system to ensure compliance with WSSC requirements to larger O/M contract.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains the maintenance and repair of the acid waste water and pH neutralization system to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
• Waster Water Operator II Certification

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills; ability to follow directions in English.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Must be able to pass national background check & drug screen.

DESIRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

• I ndustrial and/or Commercial maintenance is preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, plumbing, communications, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of such systems desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work in hot/cold environments.
• Must be able to safely climb stairs and ladders, occasionally work at heights.
