Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, perform field installation and service work for cable television, internet, and telephony systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems on HFC and FTTH networks; ensure quality of services meets company standards and FCC requirements.
  • Install and maintain HFC components (coax, actives, passives, grounding systems, pedestals, riser guards, conduit, etc.) and read system/network design maps.
  • Identify and repair ingress; conduct end-of-line and network testing using test equipment (signal level meters, VOM, leakage detector, TDR, OTDR).
  • Perform routine maintenance and update records for standby power supplies; troubleshoot RF, AC, and DC distribution issues; restore service outages.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and Headend personnel; assist on projects such as Remote Phy, Node activation, and E2E testing on new properties.
  • Prepare for daily assignments by requisitioning equipment, stocking vehicles, maintaining tools/equipment, and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner; educate customers on services and promote additional Breezeline offerings.
Qualifications
  • Minimum demonstrated proficiency in core technician skillsets; valid state driver’s license and good driving record; background checks as required by state and municipal laws.
  • Preferred 3+ years in a comparable field or a related certificate/education; minimum 1 year of direct customer service experience.
  • PC and Windows software skills; ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals; ability to write routine reports.
  • Strong communication, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities; customer focus and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to read layouts, measure distances, and work with hand and power tools; ability to climb ladders and operate vehicles and equipment safely; willingness to travel as needed.
