HVAC Technician

HVAC Technician:
Provide and maintain residential HVAC systems across various locations. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Maintain and repair heating and air equipment.
• Inspect and maintain ducting and company materials/equipment to serviceable condition.
• Identify, wire, and start-up complete residential systems.
• Diagnose and resolve all issues to keep equipment functioning properly.
• Perform system start‑ups and record results to verify proper operation.
• Inspect systems and inform dispatch/customer of concerns.
• Explain service and repair details to dispatch/customer.
• Coordinate schedule with office and facilitate part orders for appointments.
• Transport parts, materials, and tools to job sites and account for items.
• Complete paperwork/tablet documentation neatly and timely.
• Debrief dispatch/customer on service after each call with documentation.
• Maintain job‑site cleanliness and wipe down area after completion.
• Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization inside and out.
• Abide by all company performance standards, code of ethics, and safety policies.
• Maintain courteous demeanor with customers and associates.
• Ensure protective floor savers on footwear while working in customer homes.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ HVAC service experience.
• EPA Certification.
• Solder/Brazing skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• English language proficiency.
• Beginner computing skills – use computer/laptop/tablet.
• Basic proficiency with internet and email (Microsoft Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends as needed.

• HVAC trade school certification.
• 1–2 years experience in construction, HVAC, or related field.

• Willingness to learn and be part of a team.

• Safety mindset and commitment to safety culture.
• Related work experience may substitute for education.

Work primarily at occupied residential homes and construction sites. Travel by vehicle to job locations. Exposure to construction environments, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and varying weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.

• Ability to drive and operate motorized passenger vehicle or forklift.
• Capacity to lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Frequent tasks requiring climbing, bending, crawling, kneeling, crouching.
• Work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, work on platforms/scaffolding with fall protection.
• Wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective vests, gloves, safety toe, construction boots).
• Adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting.
• Ability to hear, understand speech and operate phones safely.
• Normal vision for close, distance, peripheral vision with depth perception.
• Express ideas orally and electronically via keyboard or numeric keypad.
• Reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push, pull tools and objects.
