Job Summary:

Performs electrical apparatus work onsite atcustomersfacilities. This includes electrical testing, preventative maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs to electrical apparatus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assistin the execution of mechanical and electrical tasks on equipmentutilizedinpowertransmission,distribution, andgenerationat customer facilities.

• Read and interpret manuals, schematics,andwritingdiagrams to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.

• Troubleshoot, repair, replace,and clean all components in a substation.

• Ability toassistin the following tests:

• Transformer Testing – Power factor, TTR,insulation resistance, SFRA, winding resistance,partial discharge,and leakage reactance.

• Cable Testing – Insulation resistance,tandelta,hipot, TDR,partial discharge,and cable thumper

• Circuit Breaker Testing – Insulation resistance, contact resistance,power factor, breaker timing, SF6 gas analysis, CT testing, high current testing, secondary injection testing,and vacuum bottle integrity testing.

• Participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.

• Participates insafety meetings and training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarize with industry standards such as NETA, NFPA 70E, OSHA compliance standards, safety laws, and DOT regulations.

• Ability toassistincomplex mechanical and electrical problems.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Must have strong PC skills including email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Office.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize,and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines.

• Doble DTAF and Power DB knowledge is preferred,training will be provided.

• Hasdemonstratedthe ability to be consistently on time for daily work assignments, meetings, training, etc.

• Demonstrates organizational skills to include ontimereporting of time and expenses, weekly status reports,and any other documentation and reporting requirements.

• Demonstrates the responsibilityrequiredto keep tools, test equipment,and vehicles in clean and organizedconditionand up to date with service and calibrations.

Work Environment:

• Must be willing torelocatewithin 60 milesof the hiring regional office.

• Corporate business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, but depending on the scope ofworkshours outside ofbusiness hours will be required.

• Work in close, but safe, proximity to live electrical substations.

• Must be able to work overtime including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

• Must be able to travel on overnight, multi-day, out-of-town projects.

• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.

Education and

Work Experience:

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, or Military experience is preferred but not required.

• Experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly,and commissioning is preferred, but not required.

• This role is considered an introductory positiontothe industry. Other usefulexperiencewould include butisnot limited to a mechanical aptitude and an attitude ripe for learning.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and motor vehicle check.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, as well as periodic, unannounced random testing.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain an endorsement tooperatea combined vehicle weight up to 26k lbs.
