Description
Captivation Software has an immediate need for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to support the project. The AI Engineer will work closely with system and software engineers to design, prototype, and integrate AI advancements into the existing project's architecture. This transformative position focuses on building solutions that augment human intelligence, streamline workflows, and enhance overall effectiveness of intelligence operations.
Responsibilities- Design and development: lead the design and development of AI-driven solutions from conception to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with the existing software architecture, including prototyping new models and writing production-quality code.
- Collaboration and communication: act as a key technical liaison, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and effectively presenting and articulating recommended AI approaches to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Data analysis and modeling: conduct exploratory data analysis on diverse datasets to inform the data model, identify quality issues, and determine optimal input formats for AI models.
- Model building and evaluation: develop, train, and evaluate a variety of machine learning models, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements, and implement robust testing and validation strategies.
- Continuous improvement: stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, seeking opportunities to apply new technologies and methodologies to improve existing systems and solve complex problems.
- Cloud platforms: have experience with AWS and MLOps tools for deploying and managing machine learning models at scale.
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph and be a U.S. citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Master’s degree can substitute two (2) years of experience.
This position is open for direct hires only. We will not consider candidates from third‑party staffing/recruiting firms.
Benefits- Annual salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (depends on years of experience)
- Up to 20% 401(k) contribution (no matching required and vested from day 1)
- Above market hourly rates
- $3,600 HSA contribution
