Software Engineer - Mid Level

Responsibilities

Assists with analyses to evaluate customer/operational needs, define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Supports the optimization of total system of systems and/or system architecture, and assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other quality factors to ensure mission success.

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories

Required Education and Years of

Experience:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited program and 7+ years of professional experience; a minimum of 4 additional years of experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• Experience with Java software development
• Experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Experience with one or more of the following software development skills:
  • React
  • CGI
  • Visual Basic
  • HTML
  • XML

• Experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components
• Ensuring quality control of all developed and modified software
• AWS Experience
• Elasticsearch
• Springboot
• Kafka
• Monolithic Springboot to Microservices
• Hibernate/JPA

Telework/Remote Availability:
Hybrid work authorized (minimum 2‑3 days onsite)

Summary Pay Range: $132,000 - $165,000
