Senior Signals Software Engineer
OverviewLeidos provides an opportunity for a Senior Signals Software Engineer in the Intel Sectors, Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). The role is eligible for a $25,000 sign‑on bonus and offers competitive benefits.
Primary Responsibilities- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specifications.
- Design, develop, and enhance software to add new features or improve existing functionality.
- Debug and resolve defects in software systems.
- Utilize signal processing techniques and digital modulation methods effectively.
- Develop software using C++ and Java within Linux operating systems.
- Integrate software into new or modified systems, ensuring seamless operation.
- Lead or participate in the development and execution of test procedures for software components.
- Write and review software and system documentation, providing recommendations to improve processes and standards.
- Apply scientific analysis and mathematical models to design software solutions and predict outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required with 12 years of experience. Four years of additional SSWE or equivalent experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Seven or more years’ experience as an SSWE or equivalent on a project focused on Radio Frequency (RF) including experience with Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control coding, signal analysis tools (e.g. WVT, DVT), and digital signal processing (e.g. adaptive beamforming/filtering, demodulation).
- Clearance requirement:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Experience with software‑defined radio architectures such as SCA, REDHAWK, GNU.
- Proficiency in configuration management tools such as GIT, Trac, Subversion.
- Familiarity with Python, Eclipse IDE, Google Protocol Buffer, and model‑based design tools like MATLAB or SIMULINK.
- Knowledge of service‑oriented architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployment (e.g. AWS).
- Expertise in front‑end technologies such as JavaScript, Type Script, HTML, CSS, including libraries like React, Vue, or Angular.
- Experience working with REST APIs, Web Sockets, and JavaScript 3D libraries.
- Background in Agile development teams and geolocation techniques.
