Position Overview
Software Engineer (Level
2) responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems including analytics, algorithm development, large data set manipulation, real‑time systems, and business management information systems. Works individually or as part of a team to review and test software components, resolve reports, and apply software development methodologies.
- Serve as a technical leader overseeing one or more software development teams.
- Design or implement complex algorithms that adhere to strict timing, resource, or interface constraints.
- Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to derive requirements and understand project limitations.
- Perform quality control on team products and recommend improvements to documentation and development standards.
- Analyze, develop, and modify software systems using scientific and mathematical models.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment to ensure operational specifications.
- Write or review software and system documentation.
- Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces and queries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Additional InformationSalary Range: $102,000 - $270,000. Salary determination depends on level, responsibilities, location, experience, and other factors.
