Non‑exempt (compensatory and/or overtime eligible); full‑time; 40 hours per week; varying shifts between 5:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. (shift and Saturday differential eligible);
Monday – Saturday, new hires must complete 40 hours of in‑office training within their first 30 days; grant‑funded; full‑benefits.
Saturday Shift Differential – morning shift = additional $3.00 per hour; afternoon shift = additional $5.00 per hour; evening shift (after 5 p.m. Monday – Saturday) = additional shift premium of $0.62 applies.
Sign‑on Bonus = $5,000 total to be paid in three increments: 1st $1,000 installment paid after 30 days of employment; 2nd $2,000 installment paid after successful completion of probationary period; 3rd $2,000 installment paid after 1 year of satisfactory performance.
This position is responsible for operating a transit‑type bus or other Transit vehicle to transport the general public, including people with disabilities. Supervision is received from the Operations Supervisor and/or the Operations Manager.
NOTE:
The upper pay range reflects possible wage rates for internal County transfers and promotions, which are calculated per County policy.
For external hires, offers are made at the base wage rate.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Transport customers within approximately a 100‑mile radius on deviated and fixed route assignments on various vehicle and service types
- Assist passengers in boarding and departing the vehicle when necessary
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
