Delivery Driver

Overview

Parts Authority offers immediate career opportunities for Delivery Drivers. Our Drivers are company representatives interacting with clients daily and must have excellent customer service skills. Parts Authority is one of the fastest growing supply chain companies in the country, providing promo table career advancement and job stability.

Compensation: $17.95 per hour.

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, charges are correct, and customer satisfaction.
• Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to routes, time schedules, use navigation apps and alternative routes as necessary.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at customer’s place.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints professionally.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports, reconcile debt and credit and all moneys collected related to deliveries.
• When applicable, complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify manager of issues.
• Assist in any and all store/warehouse duties such as stock and parts pulling as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets.

Minimum Requirements

• Current, valid driver's license.
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers 21 years old or over).
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
• Ability to lift, move, push, pull up to 50 pounds and prolonged sitting;
  Auto Body parts collision drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• Manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
• Utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture.
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills, professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
• Take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime as needed (preferred).
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
