Position Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to clients on a designated route. The role includes verifying daily manifests, loading and unloading trucks, and delivering products efficiently while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, check, and load all day’s orders listed on the daily delivery manifest.
  • Verify and determine best route order using Jump Track manifest; load bulk paper and water jugs.
  • Ensure loads are secure and do not shift during transportation.
  • Audit outgoing White Glove orders and address any issues.
  • Mark problems on the daily PDL and follow up with Customer Service.
  • Deliver all outgoing product to customers and handle open pick‑up requests.
  • Use Jump Track delivery software and tablet to collect Proof of Delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with company guidelines and delivery standards.
  • Keep Customer Service and Driver Supervisor informed of special situations.
  • Respond to field calls from Customer Service and Management and honor special requests.
  • Process all customer returns and undelivered items nightly; palletize returned merchandise.
  • Maintain up-to-date vehicle checklist, report issues to Supervisor.
  • Submit water spiffs, productivity reports, and other required paperwork timely.
  • Inspect product for concealed damages and report findings.
  • Carefully handle, lift, carry, load, secure, and unload materials on and off truck.
  • Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and work environment; address hazards.
  • Follow vehicle maintenance and inspection schedules per federal, state, and company guidelines.
  • Communicate any delivery concerns or issues promptly; secure client signatures.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality standards; respect overtime or extended shift requirements.

Perform any other duties assigned as necessary.

Position Expectations

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
  • Valid driver’s license and DOT medical card.
  • Clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3 years of outside route‑based, client‑facing experience preferred; 1 year driving a box truck preferred.
  • Experience in wholesale workspace supplies industry a plus.
  • Ability to navigate downtown environments and drive commercially.
  • Strong time‑management; ability to stay on schedule and process deliveries efficiently.
  • Capacity to work irregular hours or extended shifts as needed.
  • Proficiency with basic computer software and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to follow directions.
  • Attention to detail; reliability; honesty, integrity, and conscientiousness.
  • Positive attitude, sense of humor, and innovative mindset.
  • Ability to pass company drug and background check screenings.
Physical Demands

The role requires frequent use of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and lifting up to 100 lbs unassisted or 2,000 lbs with equipment. Prolonged standing or sitting, operating machinery, and performing repetitive wrist motions are common.

Working Conditions

Fast‑paced, noisy, non‑temperature‑controlled environment; work occurs in warehouses, delivery vehicles, outdoors, and customer locations.
