Truck Driver CDL A Solo

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Frederick, Maryland — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Average $2,000 per week. Top 10% earn $100,000+ annually.

• Hourly base pay: $29.00 per hour + bonus pay for endorsements
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• $50 per diem per night
• Annual tenure bonus: $1,000 every year

  Monday–Friday (flexibility required)

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load, unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle check, DOT physical, and road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within last 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

• Deliver SOLOS to VA, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NYC & DC.
• Route:
  Regional.
• Tractor type:
  Day cabs and sleepers, possibility of 26' straight truck.
• Trailer types: 48'–53' flatbed, dry van, reefer, conestoga, curtainside and containers.
• 1 year of flatbed experience and safe load securement (strapping, tarping, chaining).
• Equipment:
  Manual pallet jack, rollers, lift gate, and Moffett.
• Freight:
  Mix of touch/no touch.
• Endorsements:
  Hazmat, tanker, and doubles/triples.
