Job Title
Director of Faith Formation and Pastor – Part‑time, 25 hours per week.
Employment Status: Part‑time FLSA Status: Non‑exempt (hourly)
Schedule: 25 hours per week – flexible.
Reports to: Director of Faith Formation and Pastor.
- Plan and direct weekly group meetings for high‑school youth.
- Ensure that all youth events follow the Archdiocesan Policy for Ministering to Minors.
- Review Behavioral Guidelines with participants and enforce compliance.
- Provide semester plans to the DFF and core volunteer team before each semester.
- Collaborate with youth group core volunteers to incorporate them in planning and implementation.
- Provide training for youth group volunteers.
- Build relationships with youth, provide guidance, and maintain open communication.
- Plan and direct retreats for the youth, including the ACTS retreat.
- Communicate with parents regarding youth; address any issues with parents or guardians.
- Communicate plans for all events with youth, parents, and volunteers.
- Conduct ministry operations within the approved budget; obtain approval for any budget exceptions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all staff and agency information.
- Recruit, oversee and communicate with the Core Team regularly to plan youth group nights.
- Conduct campus visits to Fredericksburg High School.
- Update all marketing/outreach tools each week.
- Other duties as assigned by the Pastor or the Director of Faith Formation.
- Practicing Roman Catholic with a commitment to personal faith life.
- High level of discretion and integrity.
- Ability to be reached by phone.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Prior experience in youth ministry is preferred.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid vehicle insurance.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel for business purposes may be required.
