The City of Fredericksburg is currently accepting applications for a full-time Municipal Court Administrator with a Level I or Level II Court Clerk Certification. Under administrative direction of the Municipal Court Judge, this position will manage the administrative and non‑judicial functions of a Municipal Court of Record, including supervising non‑judicial personnel. The Court Administrator is also the Clerk of the Court and requires specialized knowledge of court processes and procedures to include non‑judicial functions, the development and implementation of policy and procedures, budgeting, case‑flow management, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, responding to public inquiries and records maintenance.
Applicants must consent to and pass a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) fingerprint‑based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Additional requirements include a minimum of three years of municipal court experience, two years of supervisory experience in a court setting, and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or a combination of experience that equates to the minimum requirements.
A Texas Crime Information Center and National Crime Information Center (TCIC/NCIC) certification must be obtained within 180 days of employment and the chosen applicant must maintain Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System Access (TLETS) eligibility.
