ALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a KITCHEN SUPERVISOR

An urban oasis, tucked away off of Main Street in the heart of Fredericksburg, TX, Albert Hotel offers a peaceful yet sophisticated luxury experience in Texas's famed Hill Country. Opened in January 2025, the property features 105 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms and suites, along with uniquely designed bunk rooms and a private house with custom furnishings, locally-curated amenities, and thoughtful touches.

With the guest experience in mind, Albert's elevated amenities include a sunken limestone pool featuring an outdoor bar and cabanas, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a 2,000-square-foot full-service spa. Additionally, the property is home to four on-site culinary outlets, including The Wellhouse and Junebug’s BBQ.

Albert boasts 3,600-square-foot of semi-open air event space, a 1,200-square-foot mezzanine deck, and an expansive event lawn, making it a prime destination for weddings, private events, and intimate gatherings.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in supervising and coordinating activities of all kitchen staff; instruct the team in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all menu items
  • Assist in planning, directing, and supervising the food preparation, purchasing/receiving, and cooking activities of the kitchen and production for the outlet(s)
  • Inspect food preparation, storage, serving areas, and equipment to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices; ensure employees follow standards and regulations
  • Communicate the ordering needs of food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation; verify quantity and quality of received products
  • Assist in determining production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure the timely delivery of services
  • Assist with daily kitchen organization and inventory control
  • Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labor, and overhead costs
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure organizational and safety standards are met
  • Follow inventory standards and procedures to consistently conduct accurate inventory
  • Meet with guests to discuss menus for special events as needed
  • Record production and operational data on specified forms
  • Ensure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns and apply corrective measures when necessary
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition; communicate equipment purchases and repairs as needed

Who you are:

  • You have a state-issued food handling certification as required.
  • 3+ years of related experience in the culinary industry preferred.
  • You are able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • You are ableto write routine reports and correspondence.
