Janitorial Technician

Description

The Janitorial Technician maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe environment across Frontera facilities, including administrative offices and clinics. The technician follows infection prevention protocols and safety standards to help protect patients, visitors, and staff.

Fredericksburg and Mason. Technicians clean multiple locations based on their assignment and have access to a company vehicle for travel between sites.

• Clean and disinfect exam rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, hallways, break rooms, and offices at each assigned location according to facility standards and schedules
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, buff, and maintain all floor types
• Empty trash and dispose of general waste, recyclables, and regulated medical waste following established procedures
• Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, sanitizer, and gloves
• Use EPA-registered disinfectants and cleaning chemicals correctly, following manufacturer instructions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Follow infection prevention and control practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and isolation precautions
• Perform terminal cleaning of clinical rooms after procedures or as scheduled
• Clean windows, glass, high-touch surfaces, and fixtures
• Respond promptly to spills, hazards, and urgent cleaning requests
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and equipment problems to a supervisor
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor machines, vacuums, and carts
• Use the company vehicle to transport cleaning supplies and equipment between assigned locations as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines when working around patient areas and information
• Complete cleaning logs and checklists accurately
• Treat patients, visitors, and coworkers with courtesy and respect

• Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and work independently
• Reliable attendance and a strong sense of responsibility
