THE CITY OF FREDERICKSBURG SANITATION DEPARTMENT is currently accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator. Job duties include rough excavation, spreading compaction, covering and finishing to prescribed fine grade using heavy landfill equipment such as scrapers, wheel type or crawler tractors with dozer blade, landfill blade or bucket attachment, compactors, roll‑off refuse trucks, loaders, motor graders, and pneumatic tire scrapers. In addition to regular work week, every other Saturday 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM and some holiday hours are required to be worked.
