Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant Family Practice

Job Description

An established private practice in Fredericksburg is seeking a second physician extender (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing team. This role is designed to support our expanding patient base by blending traditional primary and acute care with specialized wellness services. We are offering immediatepart-time placement and full-time is also an option.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary & Acute Care: Provide comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate individualized care plans.
• Specialized Wellness Protocols: Manage ongoing programs focused on allergy therapies, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and medical weight loss management.
• Patient Education: Educate and counsel patients on preventative health, lifestyle modifications, and wellness strategies to promote long-term vitality.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with the lead physician and clinical staff to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care and efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the Texas.
• Certifications: Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) and a current DEA registration.
• Experience: Experience in primary care and/or urgent care is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, a patient-centered approach, and a desire to work in an evolving, growth-oriented practice environment.
