Stocks General Contractors is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to support and oversee safety across our underground utility and civil construction projects.

This role is critical to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working closely with field teams to enforce safety standards and reduce risk across job sites.

• Monitor job site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and job site evaluations
• Lead safety meetings and provide training to field employees
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions
• Support field leadership in maintaining safe work environments
• Promote a culture of safety accountability across all teams

• Experience in construction safety, preferably in civil or underground utility work
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively with field teams and management
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to identify risks and implement practical safety solutions
• Experience working on active construction job sites
• Familiarity with trenching, excavation, and confined space safety

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification
• Relevant safety certification

• Ability to walk job sites and conduct field inspections
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed

• Full-Time | Salary
