Role Description The Laborer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Fredericksburg, VA. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with excavation and construction tasks, such as site preparation, trenching, moving materials, and cleaning and organizing work areas. The Laborer will operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision, support equipment operators, and help set up and break down job sites. The role requires following all safety procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and working effectively with the crew in varying weather and site conditions.

The Laborer may also assist with loading and unloading materials, basic measurements, and other duties as assigned to support project completion.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic familiarity with construction or excavation environments, including safe use of hand tools and willingness to learn operation of power tools and equipment.
• Strong reliability and work ethic, including punctuality, attention to instructions, and commitment to maintaining a safe job site.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse crew members and supervisors.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in construction, landscaping, or related labor roles is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Fredericksburg, VA job sites; ability to pass any required background checks or pre-employment screenings.
• Willingness to follow company safety policies, attend safety training, and use personal protective equipment as required.
