A. Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. (AMT, Inc.) is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors in the Transportation sector to support projects throughout the VDOT Fredericksburg District and surrounding areas of Northern Neck and Saluda Residencies.
The position requires a valid driver’s license, availability for overtime, nights, and weekends, independence and teamwork, and a background check. Experience with VDOT inspection and related certifications is required. Hourly rate will be based on qualifying experience and certifications.
Responsibilities- Verification of all work performed in accordance with plans & contractual specs.
- Measurement & verification of quantities, dimensions & specifications.
- Act as a liaison between VDOT and prime contractor.
- 5+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within the State of Virginia.
- VDOT Level II, III or IV certification strongly preferred; candidates without the certification, but who meet the certification requirements, may be considered.
- Out of state candidates with similar certifications will be considered.
