Advertised Range: $12.77 per hour
Job SummaryDesk Attendants will work under the supervision of the Coordinator of Residential Facilities and Front Desk Operations within Residence Life and Housing. The Eagle Landing desk is open and staffed 7am‑10pm 365 days a year (to include holidays and breaks). Job responsibilities include:
- Answering calls and directing them to the appropriate staff
- Possessing and maintaining knowledge of current events, housing regulations, and important information for students and parents
- Sorting and issuing campus mail and packages
- Managing the issuance and acceptance of UMW Student Room and Res Life Staff Office Keys
- Respect for any confidential information one may encounter
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to work independently
- The ability to multitask and effectively manage their time
- Great customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Maintain a professional demeanor and think critically under pressure
Availability to work during holidays and breaks required
