Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking cafeteria monitors to assist in maintaining an orderly, safe, and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria by supervising, assisting, and supporting students at lunch during the  School Year.

• Circulate among the tables during mealtime to be available to children who need help.
• Assist the janitorial staff with cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas by washing tables when students leave the cafeteria.
• Assist in establishing, implementing, and supervising orderly disposal of food waste, return of trays, and dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Help students develop proper eating habits in the areas of manners and nutrition.
• Observe students not eating lunch and call to the attention of the school nurse.
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities designated by the Cafeteria Manager.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

This position is classified as an hourly support role. The schedule is part-time and structured on an hourly, as needed basis. The position is evaluated annually.
