Humanities Adjunct (Summer and Fall 2026) Posting Summary
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. We are currently seeking adjuncts in the field of Humanities.
Responsibilities- Plan and teach humanities courses effectively in a classroom setting for diverse student populations.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Hours will vary between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm depending on availability and scheduling needs.
- Position may be in person or online.
- Telework options are subject to change based on business needs.
- Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in the specific discipline.
- Official transcripts will be required prior to final offer.
- Demonstrated ability to use relevant technology and learning management systems to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication.
- Commitment to student engagement in the online teaching environment including consistent communication and virtual support.
- Technology capability (access to WIFI, computers) to teach remotely.
- Ability to teach in a variety of modalities including virtually.
- Demonstrated competency and commitment to continuous professional development in virtual education.
- Complete Growing with Canvas and TOPS 2.2 prior to teaching.
- Prior teaching experience.
- Work experience in the field.
- Experience with online teaching.
- Substantial, proven experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments at a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
