Brompton Community School is an education-focused organization based at 123 Lee Drive in Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States. Role Description

We are looking for after-school program leaders for flexible positions. Most clubs should start at BCS at 4 pm on Tuesday(s), Wednesday(s), Thursday(s), or Friday(s). Days and meeting times are semi-flexible and your choice. We are very interested in anyone who could host a Spanish club, teaching Spanish basics, and/or Chess. You will have to pass a fingerprint screening and a brief interview.

Leaders must be 18 years or older and feel comfortable supervising and caring for children ages from 5-13. The hourly rate is $36. There would be no more than 14 students in a club, unless there is a second leader. 6, 8, and 12-week options. Options for multiple clubs, so multiple money-making opportunities! First round of clubs will be decided by August 14th.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or youth in educational, recreational, or community settings.
  • Skills in planning, organizing, and facilitating group activities or lessons.
  • Ability to manage groups, promote positive behavior, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, families, and staff.
  • Reliability in maintaining schedules, completing documentation, and following school policies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in education, child development, or related field is a plus.
  • Ability to stand, move, and actively engage with students throughout the program hours.
  • Background check clearance and compliance with all applicable school and district requirements.
