Germanna Community College is a public, open‑access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. The College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA, between Washington D.C. and Richmond.

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with diverse academic backgrounds. The College is currently seeking adjunct faculty members to teach in Business Administration and Management.

Special Assignments: May be required to perform other duties as assigned or assist the agency or state government during an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Required Travel: You may be expected to travel to all campus locations.

• Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in the specific discipline.
• Official transcripts required prior to final offer.
• Ability to demonstrate the use of relevant technology and learning management systems to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication.
• Commitment to student engagement in the online teaching environment, including maintaining consistent communication and virtual support mechanisms to ensure student success.
• Technology capability (access to Wi‑Fi and computers) to teach remotely.
• Ability to teach in a variety of modalities, including virtual, as required by all teaching positions at Germanna Community College.
• Demonstrated competency and commitment to continuous professional development in virtual education.
• Completion of Growing with Canvas and TOPS 2.2 prior to teaching.

• Two years teaching experience.
• Work experience in the field.
• Experience with online teaching.
• Substantial, proven experience with innovative teaching and development of online courses in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments at a regionally accredited institution.
