As an Assistant School Director, you will play an important role in the daily leadership and operation of the school. Working closely with the School Director, you will help lead a talented team of educators and support staff while ensuring a high-quality experience for children and families.

Our programs serve children 6 weeks through 12 years of age, including:

Who You Will Work With

As an Assistant School Director, you will collaborate with:

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated, organized, and relationship-focused leader who is passionate about early childhood education.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must hold a Level III North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential or equivalent
  • If the credential has not already been obtained, it must be started within 6 months of assuming duties and completed within 2 years
  • Two years of verifiable experience working with children with developmental delays
  • Education certification with an Administrator Endorsement, as required by applicable state regulations
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education and child development
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain flexible and composed in challenging situations
  • Commitment to professional development and continued learning
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Must meet all applicable state licensing and regulatory requirements
Responsibilities

As an Assistant School Director, you will support the School Director in leading the school and ensuring an exceptional experience for children, families, and employees.

  • Help develop, lead, and retain a talented team of educators and support staff
  • Support the daily operations of the school and ensure COA policies, procedures, and standards are followed
  • Maintain compliance with applicable state licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Support enrollment growth through the execution of the COA Experience
  • Promote high-quality care and education through the implementation of COA curriculum
  • Partner with the School Director to address operational, staffing, and educational needs
  • Support a positive, professional, and engaging environment for children, families, and employees
  • Assist with achieving COA operational and educational performance standards
  • Support staff training, coaching, and professional development
  • Participate in training, professional development, and organizational meetings
  • Serve as a positive leader and role model for the school community
  • Assist the School Director with day-to-day administrative and leadership responsibilities
Travel Requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for training, professional development, and organizational meetings
