The Senior Electrical Test Technician 3 works independently on small to medium-sized projects or as part of larger, more complex projects. Responsible for the overall administration, organization, and implementation of the project.
Responsibilities- Develop Electrical Testing Program for duty site and serve as the subject matter expert over the division's Operation and Maintenance program.
- Manage or train operations staff to operate (monitor and control) system(s), maximizing efficiency and revising controls as needed.
- Assist in developing processes, SOPs, and training programs for operators monitoring complex mechanical, electrical, life safety, and building control systems.
- Implement procedures using CMMS to schedule, dispatch, track, and report on MEP field activities.
- Manage integration, reliability, and functionality of building control systems including SCADA, Delta Controls, and Life Safety Systems.
- Coordinate with the Program Manager to optimize system performance and meet energy goals.
- Provide troubleshooting oversight and address operational problems.
- Supervise electrical testing activities.
- Assist in developing electrical work and project schedules.
- Implement ORM safety procedures and safety meetings; generate safety reports.
- Perform troubleshooting, SCADA, Building Management Systems, relay testing, SKM power systems, ETAP, short circuit, and Arc Flash studies.
- 7+ years of experience with a High School Diploma/GED
- NETA II or NICET equivalent preferred
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly, following safety protocols.
- Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing and balancing on scaffolds, lifts, and ladders.
- Perform physical activities like walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching routinely.
- Good vision (corrected), color vision, hearing, and English communication skills.
- Use standard ladders with tools safely.
- Recognize operational problems and apply general rules to solve specific issues.
- Integrate information to form conclusions, observe details within a few feet, and understand spoken information.
