Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks Data Center Technicians across multiple locations to support customers in 24/7 operations. The successful candidate will report to a site location and collaborate independently and with a team to ensure hardware and network reliability.
Physical Requirements- Regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts over 41 pounds.
- Work in a 24/7 environment and participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support.
- Travel regionally as required.

Positions in Oregon and Ohio are within AWS Gov Cloud and are restricted to U.S. citizens.
- Meet SLAs on assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.
- Act as the first‑line touch point for hardware troubleshooting.
- Perform regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, etc.).
- Carry out routine network, server hardware, and OS repairs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to complete routine work.
- Adhere to security and safety best practices.
- Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
- Create and maintain documentation and process improvements.
- Perform server upgrades, rebuilds, and scheduled work as required.
- Interact with third‑party vendors and contractors.
- Contribute to the development of other team members.
- Own technical issues and engage other teams when necessary.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Resolve root causes and understand broader context.
- Maintain service level agreements through proactive detection.
- Take initiative in the absence of direction.
- Drive process innovation to improve effectiveness.
AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates global infrastructure. Your team includes engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers collaborating across AWS to maintain the cloud’s highest safety, security, and capacity standards.
Basic Qualifications- 1+ year of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ year of computer networking experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
