Data Center Manager, DCC Communities

We are currently expanding our infrastructure management team and are looking for technology managers with experience in people management, strong technical understanding and the drive and vision to elevate  Data Center Operations. The successful candidate will manage people with varied skillsets, devise strategies, mentor colleagues at all levels, sponsor projects, and propose technical solutions.

This role supports data centers in various operational stages and may involve travel to established locations for training until the designated site is fully operational. Candidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute under 50 miles to active data center sites as required.

The position requires that the selected candidate be a US citizen and currently hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. They must also obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph once employed and satisfy all other security‑related requirements.

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly.
• Coordinate change management resources.
• Guide, train and educate data staff on best practices related to all service owner issues.
• Manage and deliver mid‑size projects.
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
• Manage a diverse team of data technicians with varying skills.
• Provide weekly report to the data center manager.
• Maintain the on‑call schedule coordinating absence and vacations.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Host weekly staff meetings.
• Write and deliver performance reviews for staff.

• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 3+ years of IT experience, or a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of operations and on‑call support for data center facilities, mission‑critical plants, or production facilities (or 1+ year of similar experience).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

• Experience in project or program management.
• 1+ years of data center experience.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

• In‑depth hardware knowledge and troubleshooting experience, system management tools and client/server environments.

The base salary range for this position is USD 78,400.00 –  annually (USA, VA, Fredericksburg).
