Amazon is looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work independently in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
Key Job Responsibilities- Move and implement large enterprise equipment
- Install fiber and copper cabling, patching cabling between equipment
- Ensure proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation
- Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities
- Safely use material handling tools and equipment
Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required.
Physical Requirements- Regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds, and participate in group lifts of 41+ pounds
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with the ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed
- Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a technical or vocational role such as computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project management
- Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience with medium to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within a work environment
- Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF)
