Job Overview

Join our dynamic AWS team as a Data Center Technician. You will be responsible for maintaining global cloud infrastructure, ensuring continuous operation of data centers through server, networking, power, and cooling equipment. This role involves hardware diagnostics, physical repair, and on‑call support.

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix, and network troubleshooting.
• Respond to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance, change management, and on‑call duties.
• Document processes and contribute to improvement initiatives.
• Help interview, train, and onboard new team members.

• Lifting and moving material up to 40 lbs.
• Working in cramped and/or elevated locations.
• Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

• Operates in an industrial environment and may shift longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.
• May travel to other data center sites during training or until the assigned facility is operational.

• Willingness to travel or commute between data center locations as needed.
• Temporary work at alternative sites during training periods.
• Ability to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active sites.

• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 lbs.

• Experience working in cramped or elevated spaces with safety guidelines.
• Customer‑centric problem resolution and working under pressure.
• Prioritizing work via a ticketing system.
• Understanding cabling infrastructure best practices.
• Data center environment experience (racking, cable management, aisle containment).

Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. Salary ranges from 30.00 – 54.00 USD hourly depending on location.
