Operations Manager

As an Operations Manager in Transportation & Logistics at Amazon, you will lead high-volume delivery operations to ensure safe, on-time, and cost-efficient performance. You will manage carrier relationships, routing, and capacity planning while using data-driven insights to optimize network flow and KPIs. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you'll resolve constraints, drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma, and champion Amazon's customer-obsessed culture. You will own team leadership, safety and regulatory compliance, and long-term operational planning in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day transportation and logistics operations across Amazon facilities to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery performance.
• Manage carrier relationships, routing, and capacity planning using data to optimize network efficiency and service levels.
• Analyze KPIs, build dashboards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate with supply chain, fulfillment, and customer service teams to resolve constraints and improve end-to-end flow.
• Own staffing, training, and performance management for frontline and supervisory teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT, and company standards while promoting an operational excellence culture.
• Develop and execute operational plans aligned with customer-obsessed and long-term strategic goals.
• Lead root-cause analysis for service failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
