Description
Under the direct supervision of the department Team Leader, uses a hand grinder to smooth surfaces of metal to remove slag and any other properties on welded products.
Roles / Responsibilities:- Grinds, sands, cleans, or polishes objects or parts, using hand tools or equipment.
- Moves controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding.
- Trims scrapes, or deburrs objects or parts, using hand tools or equipment.
- Applies solutions and chemicals to equipment, objects, or parts, using hand tools.
- Records grinding project status work on a Production dispatch list.
- Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required.
- Assists daily with all housekeeping duties in the work area.
Qualifications:
- 1. Intermediate knowledge of mechanical machines and tools, uses, benefits, repair.
- 2. 1-3 years previous/related experience.
- 3. High School Diploma/GED
- 4. Ability to read, write and communicate English.
