American Traveler is hiring an experienced Level III NICU RN for a night shift position requiring VA or compact license, 2 years of Level III NICU experience, and NRP certification.

• Level III NICU setting within a Level II Trauma Center hospital
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
• Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to Peds and WBN units as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Navy blue scrubs required

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP required; RNC-NIC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
• Experience with conscious sedation, ventilator management, and UAC/UVC maintenance required
• Proficiency with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, IV access and maintenance, chest tubes, thoracentesis, and surfactant administration required
• Experience managing diagnoses including extreme prematurity, RDS, TTN, infection/sepsis, medical NEC, PPHN, pneumothorax, MAS, and respiratory conditions
• Epic charting experience preferred

• Provide comprehensive NICU nursing care including ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), UAC/UVC maintenance, and venous and arterial blood sampling
• Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 431 staffed beds
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• RTO requests are subject to manager's discretion
• Block scheduling accommodations may be considered at manager's discretion
• Previous employees must have a 1-year separation from the health system before returning
• Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within 1 week of signing
